StarWars Tour

StarWars “The Force Awakens” broke box office records and brought the magnificent scenery of Skellig Michael and Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way to the attention of millions of people around the globe. But the StarWars journey in Ireland goes on … The last Jedi takes the fans back to Skellig Michael and several stunning places along the Wild Atlantic Way. Book your StarWars Tour now and enjoy county Kerry, where The Force has awakened.

The StarWars Tour takes you around the famous Ring of Kerry and to stunning StarWars hotspots that lie off the beaten track. Travel along narrow mountain passes and coastal roads, to the remote Valentia Island and the beautiful Skellig Ring. From these places, on a clear day, the views of the Skellig Islands are amazing. Skellig Michael, where part of StarWars was filmed, and Little Skellig lie in isolation more than 11km from the mainland in the Atlantic.

Get inspired in the village of Portmagee, where the cast and crew were stationed during the filming. It is from here that the boats and helicopters left to go filming on the island. This colorful fishing village hasn’t always been the centre of the galaxy, but it will surely be known now by many StarWars fans. Luke Skywalker (Hamill) even had time to pop into the Moorings Bar in Portmagee and spend a few hours with the locals and learning to pull a pint.

After Portmagee the journey continues along the Skellig Ring coastal road, and then back onto the main Ring of Kerry to Waterville, Coomakista and Sneem.

“The Last Jedi” takes the fans back to several stunning locations along the Wild Atlantic Way. Locations in Kerry, Cork, Clare and Donegal were picked to appear in Episode VIII. StarWars makes Ireland look out of this world!
