Before you travel

What is the best time to travel to Ireland?

Every month and every season in Ireland have their own character and charm. No matter what time of year you visit Ireland, there always is a chance of having four seasons in one day! No 40 shades of green and no rainbows without a bit of rain 😊

The Summer months in Ireland tend to be warmer and dryer but also busier. Some of our tours that will take you more off the beaten path are perfect for this time of year.

The Winter months are somewhat colder, quieter, and can bring more stormy conditions which will make the Wild Atlantic Way coast extra spectacular. The Winter months are great for exploring a wild and rugged Ireland, meeting the locals, and for tasting the traditional Irish food in front of a roaring fire.

How many Euros should I bring to Ireland?

It is handy to have some Euros for your tour around the Republic of Ireland for small purchases (souvenirs, snacks, drinks) and for tips. There is no need to bring too much cash as you will find ATM’s (cash machines) in most towns and service stations along the way.

Do I need travel insurance?

The price of Kerry Experience Tours does not include travel insurance. Kerry Experience Tours strongly recommends that all clients take out comprehensive insurance cover for cancellation, medical expenses, personal accident, personal baggage, money and public liability before travelling. Kerry Experience Tours accepts no responsibility for the theft, loss or damage to personal belongings or liability for personal injury/death at any time during the duration of your activity/tour.

Do I need a visa when travelling to Ireland?

You do not need a visa if you are travelling to Ireland from the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand and staying less than 3 months and are travelling for the sole purpose of tourism.

Visa requirements for other countries can be found on the official Irish Government Website

https://www.gov.ie/en/service/visa-requirements-for-entering-ireland/

For more info you can also contact the Irish Immigration Service, the Irish Ambassy or Consulate in your home country.
